Lions Support Families that need Glasses
The Nutana Lions support dozens of families across Saskatoon purchase glasses for students through our School Sight program. We recognize that support is needed outside of school as well and we are happy to support the Matlak family obtain glasses for their youngest child.

Access to glasses and good eyesight is very important for young people and is critical for early learning and development. Glasses will help children develop reading skills, hand-eye coordination, and depth perception.

Nutana Lions Support Sutherland School
Before the holidays, Sutherland School contacted the Nutana Lions seeking support for the school's breakfast program and mentoring for students. Recognizing the need for support, the Lions hosted several cereal drives collecting donations of cereal from the members (pictured upper right). These donations will be used to provide breakfast to more than 60 children that access the program at the school. Recently, The Nutana Lions purchased a new laptop for the school's grades (pictured lower right is Nutana Lion VP Ken Edge presenting the laptop to the School's Guidance Counsellor).

Sutherland school has been affected by comparatively low funding and inconsistent volunteerism in the community. This, coupled with a growing demand for greater supports for the school's children, has created a situation that requires support. The Nutana Lions strongly encourage others to get involved and support the city's youth.
